- Analyze technical test and inspection data for Balance of Plant equipment and seek specialist input as needed.
- Provide technical guidance for both planned and unplanned maintenance processes.
- Support maintenance planning, ensure quality assurance, facilitate work completion, and manage costs.
- Lead investigations into root causes of significant faults and recurring problems.
- Monitor turbine and station outages; assist with production and maintenance cost forecasting.
- Generate reports on asset performance and production metrics.
- Coordinate contractor activities and foster solid relationships with site teams, providers, and OEMs.
- Contribute to the enhancement of maintenance schedules, technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant technical experience.
- Have experience in asset engineering, maintenance, plant operations, process control, or a similar heavy industry environment.
- Skilled at interpreting technical reports, analyzing asset performance, and resolving complex equipment problems.
- Familiar with maintenance management systems, quality processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Confident in managing contractors and developing effective partnerships across technical and operational units.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrate a practical, thoughtful approach with the ability to work autonomously.
- Wind energy experience and knowledge of wind asset management is advantageous but not mandatory; transferrable experience welcomed.

- An inclusive and diverse work environment where individual talents are recognized and nurtured.
- Annual salary reviews, excellent parental leave policies, and options to purchase additional leave.
- Career development opportunities within one of New Zealand’s largest multi-utility providers.
