Job description
Role Overview
We seek a Mechanical Engineer passionate about designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical systems and components. The role requires collaboration with production, quality assurance, electrical engineering, and other teams to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-conscious engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and machinery.
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models utilizing CAD tools.
- Conduct engineering computations, select appropriate materials, and perform fundamental design analyses.
- Review, update, and revise engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Liaise closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure seamless solution implementation.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine their root causes for resolution.
- Contribute to prototype design, testing, and validation processes.
- Ensure all designs comply with quality standards, safety protocols, and engineering guidelines.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers regarding technical requirements and specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including reports, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and enhancement of product performance.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience with machine design, materials, and manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
