Job description
Overview
This role involves overseeing logistics planning, enhancing cost efficiency, driving operational excellence, managing infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance, and boosting performance across the logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop capacity plans for plants, VPCs, and RSYs while optimizing the logistics network by identifying and addressing gaps.
- Analyze logistics costs, optimize freight expenses, review service contracts and investments, and assess business cases.
- Monitor key metrics including KPIs, SLAs, dispatch times, turnaround and dwell times, damages, and inventory status.
- Manage all aspects of transit insurance such as renewals, declarations, premium adjustments, claim handling, and claim reduction strategies.
- Ensure process adherence, maintain SAP/ERP controls, and lead logistics infrastructure, system enhancements, and improvement projects.
- Prepare monthly KPI reports, business plans, conduct management reviews, and coordinate closely with Plant, Sales, Finance, and logistics partners.
