Role overview

Sai Wine & Champagne Café is looking for a full-time Cook to join its kitchen team in Osu, Accra. The position is based onsite and follows an evening shift from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am.

The pay is GHC 2,000 per month, with the final amount depending on the candidate’s experience. Salary is paid on the 15th of each month for the previous calendar month.

Work location and candidate profile

The successful applicant must live in or around Osu, Labone, Labadi, Cantonments, or Teshi. The role also requires the candidate to have a bank account, a valid ID card, and an SSNIT number.

Key duties

You will be expected to handle a variety of kitchen tasks and support the kitchen as needed. The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned from time to time based on operational needs.

Compensation and payment terms

Monthly pay is set at GHC 2,000, subject to experience. Payment will be made on the 15th day of every month for work completed in the prior calendar month.

Schedule

Working hours are from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am.

Applicants should be based close to the restaurant area and must be prepared to provide a bank account, valid identification, and SSNIT details.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director to plan menu offerings.
• Develop recipes and prepare more advanced dishes when needed.
• Make sure all food preparation is completed at the beginning of the shift.
• Prepare a shopping budget the evening before required purchasing.
• Carry out food shopping at the start of business operations.
• Maintain timely preparation and consistent food quality.
• Record inventory movements in the POS system.
• Track food waste and keep inventory records accurate.
• Cook and prepare food items as required.
• Conduct routine checks of food stock and inventory levels.

Requirements

• Must reside in Osu, Labone, Labadi, Cantonments, Teshi, or nearby surroundings.
• Should have a bank account, a valid ID card, and an SSNIT number.
• Ability to work the 4:00 pm to 12:00 am shift.
• Experience preparing food and managing kitchen operations is expected.
