About The Role
Join the Engineering Excellence team as a Software Engineer, where you will enhance developer productivity, reinforce platform dependability, and boost security measures across the engineering organization. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and sustaining internal platforms, AI-enhanced tools, and engineering standards that accelerate teams working in various domains such as Transaction Experience, Payment Rails, Trading Desk, Treasury, Account & Identity, Blockchain, and Card Issuance.
This role focuses on minimizing engineering obstacles, enhancing system observability, reliability, and advocating for secure and scalable development methodologies across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage internal tools, platforms, and AI-driven solutions that elevate developer efficiency and operational productivity.
- Support tooling utilized by Engineering, Product, and Operations teams, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Detect and resolve system performance and operational inefficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and implement strategies for improving system scalability, reliability, and throughput.
- Engage in initiatives pertaining to observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain security guardrails and governance frameworks for AI technologies to ensure compliance and safety.
- Evaluate risks associated with AI-enabled systems and workflows and contribute mitigation strategies.
- Assist in defining and encouraging adoption of engineering standards, best practices, and guidelines.
- Promote the use of secure, maintainable, and reliable software development practices across different teams.
- Collaborate with engineering units across multiple domains to understand challenges and deliver impactful engineering solutions.
- Collect and integrate feedback from internal stakeholders to continually enhance the developer experience throughout the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in software engineering with a focus on building and managing production systems.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable, maintainable, and dependable software solutions.
- Expertise in at least one of these programming languages: Ruby, Golang, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Background in developing modern backend services, APIs, and handling distributed systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relational database systems like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience in profiling, diagnosing, and optimizing database queries along with application performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience in creating developer tools, internal platforms, or AI-enhanced applications.
- Knowledge of AI security measures, protective guardrails, and governance frameworks is advantageous.
- Preferred understanding of payment infrastructures, fintech systems, or blockchain technology.
- A thorough grasp of software design concepts, system architecture, testing protocols, and CI/CD processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with enthusiasm for advancing engineering quality and developer productivity.
