React Developer

About the Role

GrowAfrica For Me is looking for a proficient and detail-focused React Developer to create and sustain modern, responsive, and efficient web applications. The position requires converting business and design needs into scalable front-end solutions by building reusable components, integrating APIs, and ensuring smooth user experiences across various devices and browsers.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and sustaining React-based applications.
• Implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Integrating RESTful APIs and external services.
• Enhancing application performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Engaging in code review processes.
• Collaborating closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and other project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Expertise in React.js alongside modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and current front-end development methodologies.
• Experience leveraging React Hooks, component-based architectures, and state management techniques.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON data format, asynchronous programming, and connecting front-end to back-end services.
• Competence with Git version control and standard software development workflows.
• Advantageous to have experience with build tools and frameworks like Vite or Next.js.
• Awareness of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and front-end security concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude with a keen eye for code quality and debugging.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to succeed within interdisciplinary development groups.
