Project Manager (Architecture)

About the Role

This position is accountable for steering architecture projects through both the design and construction stages, keeping them aligned with business goals, schedules, and quality expectations. The role also ensures that delivery is safe, efficient, and completed on time with facilities that meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create project charters and detailed execution plans covering scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Track progress against milestones, risks, and performance indicators.
• Oversee work on site so construction follows approved drawings, timelines, budgets, and project standards.
• Assess change requests and determine their effect on scope, cost, and delivery dates.
• Support final project handover, including permits, documentation, and operational readiness.

Technical Responsibilities

• Examine architectural designs to confirm they are practical, compliant, and aligned with project needs.
• Monitor architectural works during construction to preserve the original design intent.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with engineering teams and other stakeholders.
• Review material submissions, mock-ups, and architectural shop drawings.
• Assist with quality inspections and verify compliance with architectural specifications and standards.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and standard operating requirements.
• Help resolve escalated matters when needed and provide support to the wider team.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate authority for further action.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture, or an equivalent qualification, is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role or a similar environment is required.
• Solid understanding of architectural design and construction practices.
• Working knowledge of building materials and finishes.
• Experience in design coordination.
• Ability to review technical drawings accurately.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
