Job description

Overview

Masco Canada invites experienced Millwrights to join our team in St Thomas, Ontario. At an hourly wage of CAD $44.78, this role involves maintaining facility operations by ensuring equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. The primary objective is to minimize downtime and support the production process through skilled maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair production machinery to minimize disruptions.
  • Provide daily troubleshooting support to production teams.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Disassemble, rebuild, and install equipment when necessary.
  • Fabricate components and parts as required for operational needs.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately, including hours worked and relevant notes.
  • Contribute to maintaining cleanliness and safety within the maintenance department environment.
  • Participate in a two-week shift rotation schedule.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure workplace safety by following all company and OHSA guidelines.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) on the shop floor.
  • Engage in internal responsibility systems such as the right to know, refuse, and participate.
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance operations.
  • Report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean work area and comply with WHMIS 2015 standards.
  • Participate in annual medical surveillance if required.

Qualifications

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D) or an equivalent credential.
  • Red Seal certification for Industrial Millwrights is required.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program recognized by relevant authorities.
  • Successful completion of any required pre-employment assessments.
