Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team located in Sector 58, Ballabgarh. This role specializes in designing welding fixtures and receiving gauges with a salary range of INR 35,000 to 50,000 per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and finalize design concepts tailored to project needs by interpreting customer requirements into functional designs.
• Choose suitable standard parts and components by evaluating specifications, availability, and compatibility with design criteria.
• Incorporate ergonomics and safety considerations into fixture and gauge designs ensuring operator comfort, safety, and ease of use and maintenance.
• Create precise 2D manufacturing drawings including all necessary dimensions, tolerances, and detailed specifications, covering assembly and fabrication aspects.
• Utilize design software such as AutoCAD and Siemens NX effectively along with other relevant drafting tools to produce quality designs.
• Apply solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and manufacturing processes related to welding fixtures, gauges, and engineering drawings.
• Design and improve welding fixtures and checking or receiving gauges, collaborating closely with manufacturing and production teams to assure feasibility and enhancements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in mechanical or tooling design is essential.
• Prior experience specifically in welding fixture and receiving/checking gauge design is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T standards, manufacturing procedures, workplace ergonomics, and safety protocols is required.
