Overview

Access Healthcare is hiring experienced HCC coders for its Chennai DLF location. The role is focused on accurate medical coding, diagnosis mapping, and documentation review within a healthcare revenue cycle environment.

Open Positions

There are opportunities for both certified and non-certified candidates:

• HCC Certified Coder: 1+ year of experience required
• HCC Non-Certified Coder: 9 months or more of experience required

Location and Work Details

• Work location: Chennai DLF, Chennai, India
• Notice period candidates are acceptable

Responsibilities

• Examine medical charts and other records to determine the diagnosis and treatment provided to each patient.
• Translate diagnoses into ICD-10-CM codes with accuracy.
• Link diagnoses to Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC).
• Maintain consistency and correctness in code assignment.
• Audit documentation and records to verify completeness and accuracy.
• Share coding-related feedback with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Support training and awareness efforts around clinical documentation compliance for doctors, providers, and clinic staff.

Skills and Qualifications

• Solid understanding of medical coding practices
• Careful attention to detail
• Strong focus on compliance and accuracy
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and HEDIS Category II codes
• Any one of the following certifications is mandatory: CRC, CPC, or CCS
