Full-Stack Software Engineer — Django

Role overview

Autobia is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to work on a Python/Django product with a strong backend focus. You will spend most of your time building services, handling data, and creating integrations, while also stepping into front-end work whenever a feature requires it. Since the marketplace is customer-facing, keeping API responses fast and responsive is an important part of the job.

What you will do

• Develop, launch, and support Django-based backend services as well as complete full-stack features.
• Take ownership from start to finish, including design, coding, testing, release, and production support.
• Create and maintain integrations with both internal systems and outside services.
• Write code that is clean, easy to maintain, and helpful to the team’s technical decision-making.

What we are looking for

• A mid-to-senior full-stack engineer with a backend-first mindset and strong Python/Django experience.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Solid understanding of API design, data modeling, relational databases, and testing practices.
• Ability to work across the stack and troubleshoot front-end features when needed.
• A performance-oriented approach, with experience improving response times through query optimization, caching, and profiling.
• A strong ownership mindset, with the ability to turn unclear problems into shipped, supported solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience in B2B marketplaces, catalog or matching systems, or supplier integrations.
• Background in operating dependable, high-scale systems.
• PostgreSQL experience.
• React experience for full-stack development.
• Exposure to GKE or AWS.
