About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team in Accra, Ghana. This role demands expertise in server-side programming, database management, and API development to contribute to robust backend solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code for backend applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs and backend services.
- Integrate various databases and third-party services effectively.
- Identify and resolve issues by debugging and optimizing backend performance.
- Implement security measures and ensure data protection standards are met.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers and other colleagues to deliver cohesive software solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong command of backend development technologies and programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, and .NET.
- Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases alongside API creation and management.
- Understanding of server, database, and application architecture principles.
- Familiarity with software terminology and backend processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
