Role Overview
Step up as an Assistant Store Manager within the Autobarn family to lead from the front and contribute to sales growth. This role involves partnering closely with the Store Manager, taking an active leadership role in daily store operations, driving sales performance, and nurturing a customer-focused team committed to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized store environment
- Promote products enthusiastically, drive upselling efforts, and achieve sales targets
- Provide knowledgeable advice to customers on automotive parts and accessories
- Coach, motivate, and develop frontline team members
- Assist in managing inventory, stock control, and deliveries
- Support the Store Manager in day-to-day leadership and operational responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a retail leadership or assistant manager capacity
- Strong customer service aptitude with a track record of meeting sales goals and KPIs
- Ability to effectively coach and inspire team members
- Familiarity with inventory management, stock control, and store operations
- Retail experience is essential; automotive industry experience is advantageous but not required
- A positive, proactive attitude with a continual eagerness to learn and develop
