Role Overview

This position is part of the Quantium Telstra Customer iQ team, integral to Telstra's Connected Future 30 strategy. Customer iQ provides daily insights into customer sentiment spanning prepaid, postpaid mobile, and fixed NBN services. These insights inform major network investment decisions for Australia's largest mobile network and support personalised actions across over 280 retail outlets and call centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform Customer iQ model outputs into actionable data products and business use cases that facilitate decision-making and align with operational needs.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to design solutions that simplify access and interpretation of model insights.
• Lead and coordinate team members by defining project scopes, managing workload, and maintaining progress.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with both technical and business partners across the organisation.
• Serve as the data science subject matter expert within the Customer iQ team, offering support to ongoing model development efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong expertise in Python programming and SQL database handling.
• Solid understanding of predictive modelling techniques such as Gradient Boosting Machines (GBM), enabling confidence in interpreting model outcomes and guiding others.
• Proven success in converting analytical results into practical data products or use cases that generate measurable impact.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical information for non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience in delivering complete data science projects from inception to deployment.
• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior team members to support their professional development.
