Role overview
This is a contract proofreading opportunity in the United States with a pay rate of $30 per hour.
Working schedule
The shift follows one of two weekday afternoon options: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM EST, or Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST.
What you will do
- Carefully review written and digital materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and other language issues.
- Compare typeset versions against the original source to confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Check content for consistency with the required style, readability standards, and the client’s copywriting style guide.
- Make sure all edits and corrections are completed before the work is submitted for client approval.
- Use Adobe tools and/or Microsoft Word to mark up and annotate files.
- Coordinate review activities with team members through the TFS application.
Work environment
The role requires someone who is comfortable in a fast-moving setting and able to deliver work within tight deadlines.
