About the Role
Atawhai Village in Napier is seeking a full-time Maintenance Person to join their committed team. This position entails a wide range of maintenance duties across the site, requiring versatility and problem-solving skills. The role offers a dynamic work environment with varied daily tasks, ensuring no two days are alike. You will work closely with external contractors, staff, and residents to maintain the community's facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks leveraging your skills as a multi-skilled tradesperson across the site.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with external contractors, staff, and residents to ensure smooth operations.
- Adapt to varied job duties as no two days are exactly the same.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in trade-related work.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Code and compliance standards.
- Understanding and application of Health and Safety principles.
- Demonstrated reliability and self-driven work ethic.
- Creative thinking abilities to solve maintenance challenges.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor, as regular interaction with residents, visitors, staff, and contractors is essential.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good physical fitness to manage the role's demands.
- A clean New Zealand driver's license.
- Eligibility to work legally in New Zealand.
