Linux Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator with over 7 years of expertise to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This position requires strong skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux management and operational support, with contract-based, onsite work expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems including installation, configuration, and routine operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues such as system performance bottlenecks and hardware malfunctions.
• Maintain and configure essential network services including DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
• Design and automate tasks using shell scripting and Ansible automation tools.
• Implement security best practices encompassing firewall management, encryption mechanisms, and strict access controls.
• Operate virtualization platforms, notably VMware environments.
• Administer containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Oversee storage management solutions involving Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and RAID configurations.
• Maintain backup systems and execute disaster recovery procedures.
• Address vulnerabilities and change requests by closing VA/CR findings effectively.
• Collaborate with teams through strong communication and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Prepare to work in rotational shift schedules as required.
