Role Summary
Within the Organisation & Workforce Transformation practice, play a key role in expanding Deloitte’s Leadership practice across diverse sectors. This senior, delivery-centered opportunity involves creating, expanding, and implementing leadership development solutions for public and private sectors, including embedding the Change Collaborative leadership programme within the health system. Collaborate closely with senior leaders, combining client advisory with business development and programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new opportunities to enhance leadership development across multiple sectors.
- Expand the Change Collaborative programme throughout Health New Zealand’s regions and professional groups.
- Develop and implement growth strategies alongside senior leaders, workforce, and organisational development teams.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of bespoke programmes, partnerships, and contracted work.
- Integrate leadership capability into broader transformation projects in collaboration with colleagues and leadership.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with executives and senior leaders across health, public, and private sectors.
- Provide trusted advisory support to leaders transitioning into leadership roles or managing change and complexity.
- Engage extensively with clinicians, clinical leadership, allied health professionals, workforce leads, and professional colleges.
- Represent Deloitte’s leadership practice at sector forums, leadership events, and client meetings.
- Convert leadership challenges into customized solutions and enhanced programmes.
- Design and facilitate leadership development workshops addressing system leadership, change management, and complexity.
- Align programme content with organisational strategies, sector-specific realities, equity priorities, and relevant health outcomes.
- Incorporate contemporary themes such as AI, digital leadership, and future of work into programme development and delivery.
- Articulate programme impact clearly, especially for clinicians moving into leadership roles.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop compelling materials, case studies, and ROI narratives.
- Lead partnership negotiations with Health New Zealand, tertiary institutions, and professional bodies ensuring alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity principles.
- Support pricing strategies, proposals, and manage contract negotiations.
Qualifications and Experience
- 7 to 10 years of experience at a managerial level, preferably within health, workforce, or business development roles linked to the health system.
- Established networks and credibility within clinical communities such as senior nurses, medical specialists, and allied health professionals.
- Proven ability to translate clinical workforce requirements into tailored leadership development solutions.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in people management, leadership, workforce studies, or business is beneficial.
- Comprehensive understanding of the health sector, adept at navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments, and knowledgeable about Te Tiriti o Waitangi in health leadership.
- Strong commercial skills including business development, partnership management, proposal writing, and contract negotiation.
- Experienced leader capable of managing complex programmes and delivering outcomes involving multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively from frontline clinicians to executive leaders.
- Highly developed emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to foster trust, anticipate client needs, and provide tailored solutions that establish enduring partnerships.
- Skilled in analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and crafting strategic, pragmatic solutions.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in how AI and emerging technologies impact leadership, learning, and organisational effectiveness, with ability to incorporate these aspects into programme design and senior client dialogues.
