The Opportunity

An experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner is needed to join a multidisciplinary team in Coffs Harbour. The role is focused on delivering practical, person-centred support that improves day-to-day outcomes and community participation for people with complex needs.

Key Duties

  • Carry out behavioural support assessments.
  • Create detailed and high-quality Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Implement evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
  • Provide services in clinic, home, community and school settings.
  • Work with children, adolescents and adults who have complex support requirements.
  • Partner with families, carers, support coordinators and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Help clients achieve outcomes that improve quality of life and participation in the community.

What You Need

  • Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration at Core level or higher.
  • Previous experience in a Behaviour Support Practitioner role or a closely related behavioural support position.
  • Solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with assessments and Behaviour Support Plan development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, plus the ability to build productive relationships.
  • Capability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
  • A calm, patient and solution-oriented approach.
  • Commitment to supporting people with disability and their families.
