The Search Associate will own the recruitment process from start to finish, working in a busy staffing-agency setting to source active and passive candidates, strengthen client and candidate relationships, and deliver prompt, high-quality placements that align with client needs.
Key responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end recruiting, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placement for temporary, temp-to-hire, and permanent roles.
- Build and keep a strong talent pipeline using job boards, referrals, networking, and similar channels.
- Assess candidates for skills, experience, availability, and fit with client expectations and workplace culture.
- Work closely with clients to understand hiring priorities, role requirements, and organizational culture.
- Submit shortlisted candidates to clients and coordinate interviews, feedback, and final hiring steps.
- Keep applicant-tracking records current and accurate in the ATS.
- Follow applicable employment laws and internal policies throughout the hiring process.
- Nurture lasting relationships with both candidates and clients to support repeat placements and referrals.
- Partner with the sales team to uncover new client prospects and assist with business development.
- Stay in regular contact with candidates during the placement process and throughout assignment periods.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably within a staffing-agency environment.
- Working knowledge of sourcing platforms, social-media recruiting, and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfort managing several openings and priorities at once in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business software.
- A self-driven, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset with a focus on quality outcomes.
