Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead and oversee all quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance efforts at the manufacturing site. This role involves managing quality systems, conducting audits, handling certifications, supervising supplier quality programs, addressing customer complaints, and performing food safety risk analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Logistics, Commercial), customers, suppliers, and certification bodies to uphold the highest product standards and foster a culture of continuous quality enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance operations throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Organize and manage audits, certifications, and supplier quality assurance protocols.
• Handle customer complaints, perform risk assessments, and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives.
• Enhance and update quality management and food safety systems continuously.
• Act as the main liaison for quality matters with customers and suppliers.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team to meet organizational objectives.
• Support and drive projects focused on quality improvement and continuous process enhancement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biological Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety roles within the food or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of HACCP principles, food safety risk management, auditing, compliance frameworks, and supplier quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency with food safety and quality certifications such as ISO, HACCP, Halal, Kosher, BRCGS, IFS, and FSSC 22000.
• Strong leadership capabilities complemented by excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
