Role Overview

This opening is for a Software Engineer I based in Bengaluru. The role involves building backend functionality in a collaborative environment, with a strong emphasis on clean coding, reliable systems, and alignment with cell-based architecture principles.

What You Will Do

• Develop readable, maintainable, efficient, and testable code that supports the platform’s needs.
• Run tests and take part in code reviews to strengthen software quality, security, and performance.
• Create and update technical documentation for both newly built and existing systems.
• Coordinate across teams and regions to define requirements, scope work, build features, and connect functionality into the platform.
• Work with product managers, senior engineers, and architects to design and deliver solutions aligned with product goals and technical direction.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems when issues arise.
• Keep learning continuously and stay current with evolving tools, technologies, and industry practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of software development experience using Java on the server side.
• Strong Java skills; familiarity with Go, Node.js, or Python is an added advantage.
• Solid problem-solving ability and comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative setup.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts and related tools.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools used in cloud environments.
• Mandatory experience with AWS Lambda, AWS RDS, AWS S3, Java, and Microservices.

The role is positioned at the Software Engineer I level and is focused on backend development within a cloud-enabled environment.

Compensation

The package is listed at INR 10,00,000 to INR 15,00,000 per year.
