Role Overview
The Global Pricing Manager will be responsible for managing the worldwide pricing strategy for the Personal Care and Coatings divisions. This role aims to ensure consistent value-based pricing, optimize margins across product lines and regions, and align pricing strategies with market trends and business goals. Close collaboration with departments such as Sales, Finance, Strategic Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Data Analytics is essential to successfully executing this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category-specific pricing strategies grounded in value and aligned with margin objectives and competitive landscape.
- Create and harmonize pricing models globally, allowing for structured regional inputs.
- Gather and analyze market and competitor pricing details, including benchmarking and assessing customer willingness to pay.
- Convert market intelligence into concrete pricing initiatives while identifying new opportunities and managing risks.
- Conduct cost-to-serve evaluations and monitor margin integrity by assessing price realization and leakage.
- Oversee pricing execution covering new products, lifecycle pricing updates, price lists, and discount frameworks.
- Establish pricing governance standards including approval systems and decision-making protocols.
- Promote dynamic pricing strategies to maximize asset usage and profitability.
- Provide strategic advisory support to the sales team on pricing negotiations, commercial contracts, and renewals.
- Define and advocate for pricing dashboards to track profitability and pricing performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- MBA qualification is advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience in B2B sectors within pricing, finance, marketing, or commercial roles, ideally in multinational firms.
- Proven track record designing and executing pricing strategies in complex, multi-regional settings.
- Advanced skills in pricing analytics and financial modeling.
- Proficiency with data visualization and pricing tools such as Power BI.
- Strong expertise in managing pricing strategy interrelations involving cost, volume, capacity, and customers.
- Excellent commercial and financial insight balancing profitability and market considerations.
- Effective stakeholder management with the ability to facilitate cross-functional cooperation and influence decisions.
- Ability to translate data and market trends into actionable pricing decisions.
- Experience in implementing pricing strategies in multifaceted global organizations.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
Additional Information
