Job Overview

This role involves delivering office supplies to Staples customer accounts on a designated route during day shifts, adhering to internal schedules and quality standards. The delivery vehicle and equipment are supplied by Staples.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for delivery routes by collecting necessary paperwork and performing pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting maintenance issues to your supervisor.
• Deliver products and accept returns as requested by customers, obtain signatures, and complete documentation accurately.
• Handle customer feedback responsibly and escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain safe work habits and ensure the delivery vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum one year of driving experience operating a straight truck of 16 feet or longer.
• Valid driver's license with a clean five-year driving record, without major moving violations, compliant with provincial regulations.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds without assistance; experience with hand truck or dolly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the metropolitan area, ability to read maps, and use mobile Proof-of-Delivery systems.
• Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and manage balance for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, move, and carry up to 70 pounds unaided or use dolly equipment when delivering products.
• Enter and scan product and customer details using hand-held scanners.
• Operate vehicle across all weather and road conditions on assigned routes.
• Work in environments with typically moderate noise levels.
