Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead and transform the Workday Financials support function within our Global Capability Center (GCC). This role demands oversight of key finance processes and team leadership to elevate our administrative setup into a strategic finance systems engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Workday Financials Support team within the GCC, scaling their capabilities and fostering a high-performance environment.
- Serve as the Global Process Owner (GPO) for Workday Financials from the GCC's standpoint.
- Manage transition, standardization, and optimization of major finance processes including Record-to-Report (R2R), Source-to-Pay (S2P), and Lead-to-Cash (L2C) across global markets into the GCC.
- Translate knowledge transfers and defect resolutions from implementation teams into practical operation manuals and runbooks.
- Oversee global ticket management for Workday Financials modules ensuring compliance with SLAs and escalate system defects as needed.
- Collaborate closely during hypercare phases across country rollouts to provide tactical and intensive support.
- Assist with project testing phases including UAT/SIT completion, defect monitoring, and data migration validation.
- Conduct root cause analyses to drive continuous improvement and system enhancements within the Workday environment.
- Engage cross-functionally with finance, HR, IT, markets, and external partners to ensure alignment with global business needs.
Candidate Profile
- Over 15 years of progressive experience in finance transformation, ERP implementation, and leadership within MNCs or GCC/shared service contexts.
- Professional accounting certification required (CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA Finance).
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent discipline (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Proven hands-on experience and active involvement in full lifecycle Workday Financial Management implementations or major upgrades.
- Deep functional expertise in R2R, S2P, and L2C finance workstreams.
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS standards and familiarity with enterprise consolidation tools such as Tagetik.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams from project phases to stable operations seamlessly.
- Excellent cross-cultural stakeholder management skills across various global time zones.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to differentiate system defects from user challenges.
- Willingness to work flexible shift hours between 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, adapting to country rollout schedules as necessary.
