This remote, part-time internship at Echotalk offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in journalism with a focus on interviewing. • Researching subjects — people, firms, sectors — to prepare for interviews.
• Formulating insightful, original questions grounded in background research.
• Conducting interviews with founders, entrepreneurs, creators, experts, and diverse professionals.
• Active listening and posing intelligent follow-up queries during conversations.
• Extracting compelling stories, perspectives, and insights during discussions.
• Fact-checking crucial details like claims, names, and dates gathered from interviews.
• Maintaining organized notes and detailed records of interview sessions.
• Transforming interview content into written pieces such as articles, profiles, and reports.
• Proactively sourcing potential future interviewees with engaging stories.
• Studying exemplary interviews and journalism to enhance questioning and narrative skills.
• Collaborating across teams including research, content creation, media, and design to support projects.
• Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in communications with interviewees.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be able to work remotely throughout the internship duration.
• Availability to start between August 26, 2026, and September 30, 2026, is required.
• Commitment to a 3-month internship period.
• Possession of relevant skills and a strong interest in journalism.

Compensation and Benefits

• A monthly stipend ranging between INR 5,000 and INR 20,000.
