Role overview

Corlann is hiring for Support Worker positions across its services. These roles are available on both permanent full-time and part-time contracts, and will be based in Limerick City and surrounding areas, as well as West Limerick locations including Newcastle West, Abbeyfeale and Liosmor.

The pay is set on the Care Assistant Intellectual Disability 13-point scale, ranging from €34,881 to €48,434, with payment adjusted pro-rata where applicable.

Applicants may be placed on a panel following interviews. Being on the panel means candidates can be considered for future permanent, fixed-term and specified-purpose vacancies for up to one year.

What the role involves

This position plays a central caring and support function for a group of people supported by the services. The work is split into two main areas: providing day-to-day personal care, and helping each person work toward their individual plan goals and related outcomes.

The role also places strong emphasis on supporting community participation and helping people remain included and connected within their communities.

Requirements

Applicants must hold at least a QQI Level 5 qualification in a suitable or relevant discipline.

A full manual driving licence is required, and it must allow the holder to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads.
