Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee design-focused projects from planning through delivery, making sure scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and stakeholder expectations are managed effectively. The role requires strong coordination across teams, commercial awareness, and the ability to keep multiple initiatives moving in parallel.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, set schedules and budgets, and organize project execution from start to finish.
• Lead meetings and presentations with clients and internal teams, and keep project plans updated as work progresses.
• Guide, coordinate, and motivate design teams by allocating tasks and providing direction where needed.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, manage expectations, and address concerns promptly.
• Plan and manage project resources, schedules, and budgets so they remain aligned with business goals and stakeholder needs.
• Monitor deliverable quality and ensure outputs meet required standards.
• Identify project risks early and put mitigation measures in place.
• Track spending, maintain budget discipline, and take action to prevent overruns.
• Apply cost and commercial management practices within collaborative, multi-organization project teams.
• Prepare cost forecasts and budget reports, review variances, and highlight financial trends to support decisions.
• Use cost control methods to monitor expenditure and resolve issues affecting financial performance.
• Coordinate smoothly with design teams, marketing, product development, and external agencies to reduce workflow bottlenecks.
• Build and maintain detailed project plans with milestones, timelines, and deliverables using project management tools.
• Manage changes in scope and evolving project risks while keeping work on schedule and within budget.
• Produce regular status updates for stakeholders, covering achievements, challenges, and upcoming work.
• Carry out post-project reviews and turn lessons learned into process improvements for future projects.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, project management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in the design consulting sector.
• Proven background in managing projects within a design or creative setting.
• Ability to handle several projects at the same time.
• Working knowledge of project management methods and software tools.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
