Role Overview

JCD is looking for an experienced Project / Contracts Manager to take complete responsibility for construction project delivery through to final completion. The role involves managing several developments at once, including residential schemes, large fit-out projects, and commercial builds, while making sure each one is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct construction projects from the early stages through to handover.
• Build, track, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
• Make sure all activities comply with health and safety requirements.
• Oversee procurement activity and monitor contractor performance.
• Spot project risks early, put controls in place, and work through issues effectively.
• Maintain strong quality control standards throughout every phase of construction.
• Prepare and share regular progress updates with senior leadership.
• Ensure delivery stays aligned with agreed timelines and cost targets.
• Coordinate with clients, design professionals, and local authorities as needed.

Requirements

• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another relevant field.
• At least 5–10+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in construction or development.
• A demonstrated history of successfully delivering residential and/or commercial projects.
• Solid understanding of Irish building regulations and construction methods.
• Strong capability in project planning and organisation.
• Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Commercial awareness along with practical budget management experience.
