Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

This full-time Mechanical Engineer position is based in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on designing and improving mechanical systems and supporting projects from planning through execution, testing, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, refine, and enhance mechanical systems, equipment, and related engineering processes.
• Draft technical drawings, prepare specifications, carry out calculations, and maintain project records.
• Work closely with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep engineering work aligned and moving smoothly.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and upkeep of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems, investigate root causes, and suggest workable corrective actions.
• Make sure all work follows applicable industry standards, quality expectations, and safety rules.
• Track project timelines and deliverables so work is completed efficiently and within schedule.
• Take part in project planning, site visits, and performance reviews.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• Background in mechanical design, MEP systems, HVAC, piping, manufacturing, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Working knowledge of engineering software and technical documentation practices is important.
• Strong abilities in analysis, troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination are needed.
• Must be comfortable working independently as well as contributing effectively in a team environment.
