Job Summary
This role is for an experienced data workstream project manager who can steer the full migration of banking data for a Temenos T24 core banking transformation program. The position focuses on planning, governing, and delivering migration from legacy banking platforms into the new core banking environment, along with related downstream applications, reporting solutions, and operational data stores (ODS).
The successful candidate will bring deep experience in banking data migration, ETL planning, data governance, reconciliation, and cutover delivery, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance across the transformation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the overall migration strategy for the Temenos T24 implementation and drive the program from start to finish.
- Define the migration scope, delivery approach, execution roadmap, and detailed plans.
- Build source-to-target mappings between legacy banking environments and the new platform.
- Create migration runbooks, schedules, and governance structures.
- Lead ETL planning and execution for customer, account, transaction, loan, deposit, and treasury datasets.
- Translate business rules into transformation logic for data conversion.
- Ensure data moves cleanly into core banking modules, adjacent systems, and reporting layers.
- Work closely with ETL teams and system integrators/vendors to coordinate delivery.
- Maintain and control data mapping documentation throughout the project.
- Establish governance policies, data controls, and accountability measures.
- Track data lineage and ownership across connected systems.
- Support master data consistency and standardization efforts.
- Lead profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and validation of source data.
- Set quality metrics and monitoring controls for migration readiness.
- Identify anomalies and resolve data quality issues before go-live.
- Plan and manage multiple mock migration cycles.
- Oversee balancing, reconciliation tooling, and defect resolution workflows.
- Confirm completeness, integrity, and consistency after every mock run.
- Coordinate issue closure with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Own the final cutover migration activities and transition into production.
- Manage freeze periods, approvals, sign-offs, and cutover readiness.
- Prepare rollback plans and contingency procedures.
- Support smooth go-live data transition with minimal disruption.
- Assess the impact of the migration on downstream platforms and applications.
- Ensure synchronized data flow for reporting, data warehousing, risk, tax, and regulatory systems.
- Support integration readiness and stabilization after deployment.
- Ensure the migration meets central bank, tax, audit, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support reliable data for financial and operational reporting needs.
- Maintain regulatory data integrity after migration completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in banking data migration, data transformation, or core banking initiatives.
- Strong hands-on exposure to Temenos T24 or a similar core banking platform.
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end banking data migration workstreams.
- Practical knowledge of ETL design and development, SQL, Oracle, data warehousing, and ODS environments.
- Experience with data migration strategy, mapping, governance, quality management, cleansing, enrichment, and reconciliation.
- Background in regulatory, central bank, tax, risk, and financial reporting support.
- Working knowledge of cutover planning, mock migration, rollback preparation, vendor coordination, SI management, defect handling, and stakeholder management.
