Role overview

Join Cefn Carnau in the role of Housekeeper if you take pride in meticulous cleaning and in helping maintain a secure, welcoming environment for people who need extra support. You will play a key part in the housekeeping function, making sure the service remains clean and well presented throughout the day.

What you will do

Your main focus will be cleaning the full site, including wards, offices, bedrooms and visitor areas. You will work alongside the maintenance team to keep every part of the service in excellent condition and to deliver a consistently high standard of cleanliness.

The position also involves supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital, following local rules and procedures, greeting visitors professionally, building positive working relationships, and contributing to a constructive team culture.

Workplace details

You will be based at Cefn Carnau Lane, Caerphilly, South Wales, CF83 1LX. Cefn Carnau is a low secure and rehabilitation service for adults whose primary diagnosis is a learning disability, and who may also live with mental illness, personality disorders, or an autistic spectrum condition. The service provides programmes such as sex offender treatment, anger management, trauma therapy, art psychotherapy, and tailored psychological support for people with learning disabilities.

Salary and benefits

This role offers a base salary of £25,058 per year.
