The role is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, support for planning and analysis, and oversight of the month-end and year-end close cycles.
Core Responsibilities
The controller will manage the general ledger, prepare and review financial statements, and ensure all reporting is completed accurately and on schedule. The role also includes building and maintaining budgets and forecasts, monitoring cash flow, and contributing to FP&A activities across several entities.
In addition, the position will establish and maintain internal controls, support compliance with accounting rules and regulatory requirements, and work with outside accountants, auditors, and tax professionals when needed. The role partners with leadership to deliver financial insights, inform strategic decisions, and identify process improvements that strengthen efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
Applicants should bring strong accounting and financial reporting expertise, including general ledger ownership, month-end close, and preparation of GAAP-based financial statements. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis is important, along with the ability to interpret financial information and turn it into practical recommendations.
Knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and regulatory obligations is required, as is experience collaborating with auditors and external accounting firms. Candidates should be comfortable using accounting systems, ERP platforms, spreadsheet tools, and financial modeling techniques to improve processes across multiple entities.
A background in manufacturing, industrial technology, or multi-entity holding structures is considered a strong advantage. The role also calls for excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, plus clear professional communication and the capacity to work effectively with remote teams and executive leadership.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is expected. CPA, CMA, or a comparable certification is preferred.
