Event Manager

About the role

NinetyEightConsulting is working with a New York City–based fashion brand to hire an Events Manager who can own the planning and delivery of brand events, activations, partnerships, and industry-facing experiences. The position is centered on creating polished, memorable moments that elevate the brand, build awareness, deepen relationships, and leave a strong impression on customers and VIP guests.

What you will do

• Take charge of end-to-end planning and delivery for brand events, launches, activations, and experiential marketing programs.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, event logistics, and outside partners from the initial idea through final execution.
• Work closely with marketing, PR, creative, retail, and leadership stakeholders to keep all parts of the event aligned and running smoothly.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with venues, production teams, caterers, talent, and external agencies.
• Organize guest lists, invitations, VIP hospitality, and event-related communications.
• Manage activities on-site and resolve issues quickly as they arise.
• Monitor event outcomes and prepare post-event summaries with findings and recommendations.
• Keep up to date with trends, venues, and experiential concepts across fashion, luxury, and lifestyle.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, PR-focused events, or brand activations.
• Prior exposure to fashion, luxury, beauty, hospitality, or consumer brands is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to run several events at once in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
• Solid experience handling vendors and overseeing budgets.
• Excellent organization, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel when required for events and activations.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and event management software or tools.

Preferred experience

• Experience with NYFW, brand launches, influencer events, VIP programs, or retail activations is a plus.
• A well-established network of New York–based event vendors, venues, and production partners is preferred.
