Role Overview

Federal Express Corporation is looking for a Data Analyst to work under general supervision and support data-driven decision-making. The role focuses on building and improving processes that handle a broad range of datasets for data mining, text mining, and analysis. The position contributes to business decisions by turning complex data into clear insights and practical recommendations.

What You’ll Do

• Create and improve processes and solutions for data mining, text mining, and analytical work.
• Study structured and unstructured information from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and business issues.
• Apply statistical methods to uncover insights that help solve key business problems and support deliverables.
• Use modern and emerging tools to evaluate trends and prepare actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Build a stronger understanding of the business model and the data available for analysis over time.
• Use data analysis, statistical reasoning, quantitative methods, and fact-based decision-making to support management.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree is required in information systems, computer science, or another quantitative field such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or finance. Equivalent experience may be accepted in place of the degree requirement, and relevant education may be used to offset experience requirements.

The role requires at least 2 years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development, and/or predictive analytics.

Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate should be comfortable using analytics software and applications, and should bring strong data analysis capability, problem-solving ability, and an aptitude for generating useful insights. Good collaboration skills, along with clear written and verbal communication, are also important.

Preferred Background

Experience related to fraud analysis is considered an added advantage.

Compensation

The external pay range for this position is $5,662.27 to $7,502.51.
