Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our Contract Logistics team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves handling inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and supporting inventory management duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify incoming shipments by matching invoices and packing lists, promptly reporting any damage or inconsistencies to the Team Leader.
- Complete discrepancy reports such as Material Discrepancy Notes and notify the Floor in Charge as necessary.
- Properly sort and store items, using scanning devices when required, to facilitate efficient retrieval.
- Document put-away activities for verification and system entry by the Team Leader.
- Prepare orders by accurately picking items based on pick lists, performing scans or double-checks before dispatch.
- Pack items correctly according to guidelines and label them appropriately as supervised.
- Assist with stock audits, cycle counts, and other inventory-related tasks assigned by the Team Leader.
- Comply with all DSV policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle food materials following strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Highlight any issues or improvement opportunities to the Team Leader.
- Carry out additional duties or projects as assigned to meet business demands.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum education: High School diploma.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures.
- Basic numerical skills for inventory tasks.
- Good listening skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Effective English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Familiarity with basic computer equipment such as scanners.
