QC Specialist - Sample Management

Role Overview

Based in Tuas, Singapore, this position involves overseeing quality control samples through their entire lifecycle, including receipt, retention, shipment, and disposal. The role also manages archival of QC documents both on-site and off-site, coordinates equipment maintenance, and updates operational procedures accordingly. Effective collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure timely sample delivery, results reporting, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of QC samples including receiving, storage, shipping, and discarding as per protocols.
• Conduct control and audit processes for retained samples of raw materials and production batches.
• Coordinate logistics documentation and issuance of QC assay sheets.
• Oversee both on-site and off-site archival of QC documentation to maintain compliance.
• Develop, revise, and review Standard Operating Procedures related to QC activities.
• Document deviations and manage change requests appropriately.
• Maintain accurate data and records compliant with regulatory and SOP standards.
• Contribute proactively to operational efficiency and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Science, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience and demonstrated achievements to qualify for specified position level.
• Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations.
• Familiarity with specific operational responsibilities within QC sample management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player mindset.
