Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Oracle EPM Planning Cloud Functional Consultant to provide onsite functional and application support within the Oracle EPM environment. The role primarily targets Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) and Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS). You will collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical staff to assist with budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, enhancements, integration efforts, regular maintenance, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver functional support for Oracle EPBCS and ARCS by resolving issues, implementing enhancements, and assisting business queries.
- Interpret business needs and convert them into Oracle EPM solutions aligned with planning requirements.
- Set up and maintain planning components such as metadata, dimensions, forms, business rules, dashboards, and reports.
- Support financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and reconciliation activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and proactively address potential issues.
- Create and manage custom EPM application components that support forecasting and budgeting workflows.
- Participate in planning, estimating, designing, assessing impact, and executing new enhancements.
- Compile and maintain technical documentation such as interface specs, solution designs, and impact evaluations.
- Track progress on assigned responsibilities and proactively handle risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot data integration processes within the EPM ecosystem.
- Facilitate automation of data loading, backups, refresh cycles, and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement integration changes and support production environments.
- Manage Oracle EPM Cloud security, including user access and audit tracking.
- Keep an eye on production services, system alerts, release statuses, and module updates.
- Assess monthly Oracle updates for possible impact on business or applications.
- Maintain logs and documentation related to operational support.
- Conduct backup activities in line with operational requirements and periodically test recovery processes.
- Assist in monthly maintenance tasks, including log reviews and applying Oracle release patches.
- Lead unit testing efforts and support system integration testing phases.
- Assist business users during user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide support for production deployments, post-deployment validations, and hypercare support.
- Respond efficiently to queries, Jira tickets, and service requests across functions.
- Prioritize workload based on team capacity and business priorities.
- Delegate assignments considering urgency, availability, and team capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven functional expertise with Oracle EPM Cloud across both implementations and support roles.
- Hands-on experience working with Oracle EPBCS/Planning Cloud and Oracle ARCS platforms.
- Deep understanding of financial processes such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, management reporting, and month-end close procedures.
- Adeptness in collaborating with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and design tailored EPM solutions.
- Technical proficiency in EPM Data Management/Data Integration, Data Exchange, and diagnostics of integration issues.
- Familiarity with Calculation Manager, business rules, Smart View, forms, dashboards, reports, valid intersections, and security settings.
- Experience utilizing EPM Automate or related automation tools for data loading, backups, refreshes, and reports.
- Knowledge of integration between Oracle EPM and ERP systems is advantageous.
- Experience in application support, delivering enhancements, incident handling, and managing service requests.
- Capability to conduct impact analysis, effort estimation, documentation, testing, and deployment assistance.
- Experience with Jira or comparable service management platforms.
- Background in ITIL-aligned support environments is preferred.
- Exposure to public sector or large enterprise financial contexts is a plus.
- Oracle EPM Cloud certifications are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional project teams.
- Knowledge of Oracle EBS Financials is an added advantage.
