Andaz Lisbon, a newly inaugurated luxury lifestyle hotel situated in the heart of Lisbon’s lively Baixa district on Rua Augusta, forms an important part of Hyatt’s expanding portfolio in Southern Europe. Role Overview

We are seeking a polished Door Host to be the initial physical contact point for guests upon their arrival at the hotel. This role demands delivering a warm and efficient welcome that embodies the brand’s sophisticated, authentic, and personalized lifestyle concept. The Door Host should convey elegance, be detail-oriented, proactive, and anticipate guests’ needs from arrival through departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with professionalism and courtesy upon arrival.
• Assist guests with their luggage during arrival and departure, ensuring careful handling.
• Recognize VIPs, frequent guests, or those requiring special assistance and cater accordingly.
• Escort guests courteously to their rooms, providing a concise introduction to hotel amenities and services.
• Organize and maintain order in the lobby, entry hall, and exterior areas under supervision.
• Collaborate closely with Reception, Concierge, and Valet teams for seamless guest arrival and departure operations.
• Assist in moving packages, luggage, or personal items within the hotel when requested.
• Offer basic information about the hotel and local attractions with warmth and empathy.
• Safeguard guests’ belongings during transport and storage.
• Comply with hotel standards concerning personal conduct, presentation, and hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in luxury hospitality is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Physical ability to lift and handle luggage comfortably.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong service orientation, attention to detail, discretion, reliability, proactivity, agility, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
