About The Opportunity

This is a permanent full-time role based in Dublin within the Data and Investment Analytics Technology department of the Asset Management Platform (AMP) at Fidelity International. This key position involves contributing to the modernization of data engineering capabilities, supporting business, technology, and data strategies to unlock value for Asset Management, Trading, and Middle Office functions.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with central Engineering functions to establish and promote standardization principles department-wide and advocate their adoption within AMP.
  • Encourage use of the latest data technologies, tooling, and best enterprise data patterns for scalable solutions.
  • Support continual learning and career growth opportunities within the data engineering team.
  • Champion automation and test-driven development methodologies aligned with the department's transformation and cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Work closely with Architecture teams to deploy and maintain future state architectures that serve business needs.
  • Coordinate with Value Stream leads to ensure alignment of priorities across business areas and technology platforms.
  • Ensure embedding of Audit, Compliance, Regulatory, and Risk mandates into engineering practices and workflows.
  • Promote a culture that values cost-effectiveness, inclusion, psychological safety, and teamwork across the team.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding and practical experience with modern data engineering technologies, data lake principles, and data warehouse platforms including Snowflake.
  • Track record of defining and driving successful adoption of data engineering best practices.
  • Committed to mentoring and growing team members' skills and adapting to evolving technologies.
  • Ability to recognize technology skillsets and appreciate diverse organizational cultures and team dynamics.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and fostering an environment supporting personal and professional growth.
