Cryptographer

Role overview

Orbus International is looking for a Crypto Subject Matter Expert to contribute to cryptography engineering initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Kochi, Kerala.

What the role involves

• Bringing at least 8 years of hands-on development experience in cryptography engineering projects.
• Working with cryptography concepts, standards, and implementation practices.
• Handling hardware security modules and key management platforms.
• Supporting public key infrastructure and certificate lifecycle management solutions.
• Reviewing and producing architecture and design deliverables, including technical design documents.
• Designing cryptographic solutions and integrating them with related applications.
• Managing multiple keystore formats such as Java and MQ, along with their configuration.
• Applying knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, APIs, and communication protocols.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Broad understanding of cryptography, PKI, KMS, and encryption concepts.
• A proactive professional who can engage with clients and collaborate well with teams.
• Comfort in training junior team members when needed.
• Ability to stay productive under pressure and balance several priorities at once.

Preferred experience

• Prior exposure to Google Cloud and related KMS/CMS deployments is an advantage.
• Experience working on international client engagements is preferred.
