Role Overview
The Business Analyst in Process Engineering will act as a critical link between business requirements and technology solutions, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency in warehousing and transport operations through data analysis, process improvement, and technology integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large operational datasets to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards presenting key performance indicators for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand and optimize business processes and workflows.
- Recommend and apply process improvements to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize use of resources.
- Partner with IT to evaluate, recommend, and roll out technological solutions aligned with business goals.
- Provide expertise on integrating advanced technologies including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Operations Management Systems, SmartREM suites, and data analytics tools.
- Use historical data and industry insights to generate accurate demand forecasts for warehouse and transport services.
- Coordinate with demand planning teams to align warehouse and transport capacities with business needs.
- Deliver actionable insights facilitating data-driven managerial decisions.
- Gather and document business requirements for system upgrades or new technology implementations.
- Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs to assess warehouse and transport operational effectiveness.
- Ensure clear comprehension of user requirements to guide IT development efforts.
- Oversee project management and management information systems tasks.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in operations or business analysis within the supply chain sector.
- At least three years’ experience in warehousing, transportation, logistics, or FMCG industries.
- Proficiency with SAP EWM, TRM, and strong technical aptitude for business technology solutions.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong understanding of standard operating procedures and EWM system functionality.
- Familiarity with warehouse and transportation management systems and relevant logistics software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving capabilities.
