Opportunity Overview
Step forward in your sales career by joining our dynamic team as a Territory Manager operating in the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel Region. This role is ideal for self-driven and target-focused individuals who excel in team environments and enjoy taking initiative. You'll be tasked with advancing sales, expanding distribution, and fostering growth within your specified territory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategic sales plans to meet or surpass targets within your region.
- Identify potential clients, nurture relationships, and turn prospects into business opportunities.
- Engage in direct client meetings to understand their requirements, offer product solutions, and finalize sales contracts.
- Partner with internal teams such as marketing and customer service to enhance client satisfaction and ensure positive sales results.
- Stay informed on market developments, competitor moves, and customer insights to leverage growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales pitches, proposals, and progress reports to both management and clients as necessary.
- Consistently achieve designated sales KPIs.
Travel Expectations
- The position requires regular client visits and stakeholder engagements to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Extensive travel within the territory is a necessity, including monthly overnight stays in Whitianga or Whangamata.
- Efficient planning and management of your travel itinerary is essential to maximize productivity and meet targets.
- Participation in industry events and quarterly Regional Sales Meetings is expected.
- A valid Full Driver’s License is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in territory or field sales, preferably within FMCG or grocery sectors.
- A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales objectives in a comparable position.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to establish rapport and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently, particularly in a remote working context.
- Energetic, friendly, and passionate about sales and cultivating business partnerships.
- Proficient with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Office applications, and an understanding of Co-Pilot.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel within the assigned territory.
- Full legal rights to work in New Zealand; successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including health screenings.
