Role overview

This opportunity is for a Technical Program Manager based in Germany and is being represented by a partner company that handles the application process and subsequent steps. The position is designed for someone who can operate at the point where engineering delivery meets product direction in a fast-moving AI-focused environment.

You will guide technically complex programs across web platforms, data tooling, and AI-enabled products. In practice, that means creating order in uncertain situations, keeping multiple teams aligned, and making sure execution stays focused on timelines, priorities, and measurable outcomes. The role calls for a mix of technical understanding and strong program leadership to keep several initiatives moving at once.

Working closely with engineering, product, and design teams, you will help shape scope, coordinate dependencies, and support execution from planning all the way through launch. This is a high-impact position with direct influence on product delivery and the effectiveness of the overall operating model in an advanced AI environment.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of delivery for complicated technical programs spanning web platforms, data tooling, and AI-driven product work.
• Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to establish scope, milestones, success measures, and organized delivery plans.
• Facilitate recurring program routines such as planning meetings, standups, risk reviews, and retrospectives to maintain alignment and momentum.
• Spot inter-team dependencies, highlight potential issues early, and put practical mitigation plans in place.
• Create and keep up-to-date program materials such as roadmaps, PRDs or technical briefs, RACI charts, release plans, and postmortems.
• Coordinate launch preparedness, including QA planning, rollout management, observability expectations, and incident response alignment.
• Improve the delivery process over time by strengthening estimation accuracy, release quality, throughput tracking, and communication practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management or a closely related role within software, platform, infrastructure, or developer tools environments.
• Solid technical understanding of APIs, web architectures, CI/CD workflows, cloud deployment, observability, and basic security principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced setting with a high level of ambiguity.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and structured status updates.
• Background in startup or high-growth environments, with a practical and action-oriented approach to decision-making.
• Effective collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design functions.
• Comfort with turning complex problems into workable plans and carrying execution from planning to release.

Compensation and engagement

The role offers competitive hourly pay of USD 50 to USD 150, depending on experience and location. It is structured as a contract engagement that can last for up to 6 months.
