About the Role
This position is based in Bonn, Darmstadt, or Berlin with hybrid working options, part of the IT department of a global leader in logistics operations. The IT division, consisting of thousands of professionals, plays a critical role in connecting people and supporting the global economy through innovative and sustainable digital solutions. The SAP HR Core subdomain team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the German SAP HR systems, including payroll processing for hundreds of thousands of employees. Their approach incorporates DevOps and agile methodologies, embracing new technologies and continuous learning. This role calls for an experienced SAP HR developer with expertise in German payroll and time management, who will also provide expert consultancy in these areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project planning, monitoring, and management alongside both internal teams and external partners.
- Engage in cross-functional tasks across IT services and divisions.
- Serve as the primary contact for SAP HR Payroll and Time Management matters within the organization.
- Create and enhance reporting tools and reports.
- Support current SAP HR payroll and time management operations specific to Germany.
- Modify and develop payroll rules, system operations, and configuration schemas.
Profile and Requirements
- Completed degree with a technical inclination such as computer science or business informatics, or comparable substantial professional experience.
- Agile working mindset and openness to collaborative development practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with employees, clients, and service providers.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP HR with a specialization in payroll and time management.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR processes including payroll operations, authorizations, and time management systems.
- Proficient programming capabilities in ABAP and SAP HR environments.
- Solid general IT knowledge and awareness of emerging technologies.
- Fluent in both German and English, with experience collaborating with international teams and business partners based in Germany.
