Job description
Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for generating qualified leads and appointments by targeting relevant accounts and engaging decision-makers across designated sectors.
Core Duties
- Identify and research potential accounts and key influencers within assigned industry verticals.
- Perform outbound outreach via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other communication methods.
- Evaluate inbound and outbound leads using established qualification standards.
- Arrange product demos and introductory meetings for the sales team to engage prospects.
- Keep meticulous records of interactions and opportunity statuses within the CRM system.
- Partner effectively with marketing and sales colleagues to enhance lead quality and conversion metrics.
- Maintain regular follow-ups to nurture early sales pipeline opportunities.
- Meet set monthly and quarterly objectives for appointments secured, qualified leads, and pipeline growth.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market changes.
Candidate Profile
- Between one and three years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or lead generation roles.
- Experience within SaaS, software products, B2B technology, IT services, cloud technology, or related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities.
- Comfortable and skilled in cold calling and proactive outbound prospecting techniques.
