Job description

About the Role

Join us as a Platform Engineer where you will develop a robust multi-tenant platform transforming our inference infrastructure into a reliable product trusted by enterprises and sovereign clients. You will be responsible for the critical systems interfacing between customers and our inference stack, including authentication, tenant segregation, quotas, metering, entitlements, and the public API. Security and auditability are fundamental product features embedded from the start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the multi-tenant control system encompassing credentials management, quota allocation, rate limiting, and tenant isolation.
  • Manage and enhance public inference APIs covering streaming capabilities, version control, compatibility assurance, and migration processes.
  • Implement precise usage tracking, credit reservations, and enforce entitlement rules effectively.
  • Create enterprise-grade functionalities such as Single Sign-On (SSO), access management, audit logging, and compliance with data residency requirements.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and continuously reinforce tenant boundary security.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles, with demonstrated ownership of multi-tenant API or control plane systems.
  • Extensive expertise in authentication processes, credential handling, rate limiting schemes, quota systems, and tenant isolation mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and solid judgement in API design, particularly with high-throughput or streaming APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with metering, billing procedures, credit systems, entitlements, incorporating idempotency, reconciliation, and maintaining audit trails.
  • Familiarity with enterprise or highly regulated settings, including SSO, SAML/OIDC protocols, SOC 2 compliance, data residency, or sovereign cloud deployments.
