Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role overview

Platin Yaka is hiring a part-time Junior Data Analyst to work remotely. This entry-level role is suited to someone at the start of their analytics career who wants to strengthen core data skills in a supportive, learning-oriented setting.

What you will do

You will help with collecting data, cleaning datasets, and carrying out basic analysis to uncover patterns in user activity, platform performance, and engagement. The role also includes putting together simple reports and dashboards, supporting the creation of data models, and using statistical techniques to turn raw data into useful insights.

In addition, you will work with colleagues from different functions to understand their data needs, document your findings in a clear format, and share results in a way that is easy for both technical and non-technical audiences to understand.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an early-career candidate with strong analytical thinking and a careful, structured way of solving problems. A basic foundation in data analytics and data modeling is important, along with an understanding of statistics and how it applies to real-world datasets.

You should be comfortable communicating clearly, using spreadsheets, and working with at least one data-related tool such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or a visualization platform. The ability to work independently in a remote setup, stay organized, manage time well, and meet deadlines is also important. Curiosity, a willingness to learn, and openness to feedback are highly valued.

Preferred background

Coursework or a degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related area is helpful, but it is not mandatory.
