Core responsibilities

• Deliver L2 support for database systems, including SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL environments.
• Carry out routine and advanced database administration tasks such as setup, configuration, patch application, version upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Track database health and performance, resolve operational problems, and help maintain dependable and highly available systems.
• Manage incidents, investigate root causes, and apply tuning measures to improve database performance.
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities for database platforms.
• Improve query efficiency and indexing approaches to boost overall system response times.
• Assist with ETL monitoring and the smooth operation of data pipelines.
• Help create reports, dashboards, and analytics outputs aligned to business needs.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and analytics teams to resolve integration issues and data-related challenges.
• Keep documentation, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge articles current for database and analytics workflows.
