Role Summary
This contract position is remote and is responsible for supporting clinical research activities as a Clinical Research Associate. The role centers on planning, coordinating, and carrying out clinical studies while making sure all work follows study protocols and applicable regulatory standards. The position will involve site oversight, review of study data for accuracy, partnership with clinical operations teams, and upkeep of essential trial records.
Program Focus
This opening is being managed through a CRO and is dedicated solely to support of the EP pipeline. Preference is for candidates based in the Midwest or West Coast region. The assignment requires experience with complex cardiac studies gained within the last five years, ideally in electrophysiology and/or device-related work.
What You Need
Applicants should bring a strong background in clinical trial execution, protocol compliance, and research operations, along with the ability to work independently in a distributed team environment. The role also calls for significant travel within the region and occasional travel beyond it, up to 80%.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of protocol development, rollout, and ongoing compliance.
- Hands-on experience with core CRA duties and trial oversight.
- Solid understanding of clinical trial operations and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to gather, review, and interpret research data effectively.
- Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills with careful attention to detail.
- Comfort working remotely with cross-functional teams while handling several priorities at once.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related discipline; an advanced degree is considered beneficial.
- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice standards is a plus.
- Background in nursing, cardiovascular care, medical devices, and/or completion of a CRA bridge program is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region and, at times, outside the region up to 80%.
